Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 7, 2026
This policy outlines how CobaltWire ("we", "us", "our") collects, processes, and protects your information when you access cobaltwire.com. We prioritize transparency and keep complexity to a minimum.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Profile: Upon registration, we collect your first name, email address, and a cryptographically hashed password. Plaintext passwords are never stored.
- Attribution Analytics: If you visit via promotional links, we capture standard URL parameters (such as UTM parameters or ad click identifiers), landing page references, and HTTP referrers to map campaign efficacy.
- Technical Telemetry: System access logs automatically capture IP addresses, browser specifications, generalized geo-location, and precise event timestamps.
We do not collect financial or payment details as our platform operates strictly without real-money transactions or purchases.
2. How We Utilize Data
- To operate core platform services and maintain authenticated active sessions.
- To dispatch requested transactional communications, including account verification links and service updates.
- To evaluate advertising attribution efficiency and user engagement patterns.
- To monitor infrastructure stability and prevent automated abuse or unauthorized access.
3. Third-Party Content Distribution
Certain interactive titles are served via third-party game distribution networks. Initiating a game session connects your client directly to these external hosts, making standard technical metadata (such as your IP address) visible to them. Personal profile data (such as your name or email) is never disclosed to game content providers.
4. Information Sharing & Disclosure
CobaltWire does not sell personal information or share data with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. Data disclosure is limited strictly to hosting infrastructure providers operating under explicit processor agreements, or as required to comply with statutory legal obligations.
5. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents possess specific privacy rights under applicable state regulation:
- Right to Know: Request disclosure of collected personal information categories and specific pieces of data held.
- Right to Deletion: Request full erasure of personal data from our active systems.
- Right to Correction: Request updates to inaccurate or incomplete personal records.
- Non-Discrimination: Equal service access without penalty for exercising statutory privacy rights.
To submit a CCPA/CPRA request, contact privacy@cobaltwire.com from your registered account email. Verified requests are fulfilled within 45 days.
6. Protection of Minors
CobaltWire is intended strictly for an adult audience aged 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 21. If you suspect a minor has created an account, notify privacy@cobaltwire.com for immediate account termination and data removal.
7. Storage Technologies & Cookies
We deploy a single secure session cookie to maintain user authentication and utilize browser local storage strictly for maintaining attribution state between page navigations. We do not run third-party tracking pixels or persistent ad-network cookies.
8. Security & Data Retention
User credentials are encrypted using PBKDF2 hashing algorithms, session state is cryptographically signed, and all web traffic is enforced over HTTPS protocols. Account data is retained for the lifetime of your registered profile and erased upon profile deletion requests. Server telemetry logs are purged automatically on a rolling schedule.
